What if fashion’s most radical solutions weren’t hidden, but already happening in plain sight, live and in real-time across continents?
Kantamanto Social Club is an upcycled fashion platform challenging dominant sustainability narratives by spotlighting the overlooked expertise of marginalised communities on the frontlines of textile waste. At the heart of this movement is Kantamanto Market in Accra, Ghana, one of the world’s largest second-hand clothing markets, where 30,000 people repurpose around 9 million discarded garments weekly into economic and creative value.
Join us for a four-day global activation during Amsterdam Fashion Week, where upcyclers, artists, students, and fashion lovers from across the world come together to reimagine the future of fashion: from the bales of Kantamanto Market to the streets of Amsterdam.
