What if fashion’s most radical solutions weren’t hidden, but happening in plain sight—live, in real-time, across continents?

During Amsterdam Fashion Week, Kantamanto Social Club will transform the 5th floor of NIO House Amsterdam into an immersive, living circular fashion ecosystem. The space will include a Sourcing & Sorting Zone in partnership with Het Goed, live upcycling workshops/sessions with local designers, swap shops with Amsterdam-based Swap Mode, and a Retail Pop-Up showcasing upcycled fashion from Kantamanto and other global makers.

What sets this initiative apart is a livestream portal that connects upcycling communities across Accra, Toronto, Cairo, and Jaipur in real time. Developed in collaboration with our partners, this portal facilitates cross-continental dialogue, shared labour, and creative exchange; dismantling the silos between formal and informal systems, North and South, and online and offline engagement.

The experience reframes sustainability as a participatory practice rooted in equity and collective intelligence. By centring the labour and creativity of those working directly with textile waste, Kantamanto Social Club not only challenges extractive industry models but also reimagines the future of fashion education, policy, and production.

This is not just a pop-up; it’s a global classroom, a collaborative studio, and a bold invitation to rethink who leads sustainable fashion.
